Updated 29/12/07.

The Club is now Affiliated  with Cycling Ireland for the 2008 season.   It is now possible for our members to sign up on-line in the Cycling Ireland web site!  (follow instructions in Red text, near the bottom of the page)!  However before going to C.I. web site you need to call in with Ronnie at the Shop and sign the Club form and pay Club fees.  Only then can you proceed to sign up with C.I.

Please note the fees are the same as last years so I have just left 2007 documents on from last year as they are the same, only the club levy has changed, up by £5 to £20.  Underage / below 16 years old is £5 for club fee.

Note that membership runs from 1st January to 31st December each year!  So if you join up late in the year, say April you will loose 3 months and pay the same fee!  If you can you are better to join up as early as possible in order to gain full benefit and be covered by insurance!   Davy Ross.

I have scanned the documents below so that members can read through the details for registration!  Sorry its running off on a slant the scanner must have got a knock!

I have listed the Cycling Ireland registration fees at the very bottom of this page.  Note there are two fees to pay!  The first and largest fee is to Cycling Ireland,  and a small £20 fee to the club - for full details see bottom of this page!

However, it is important that you take time to read through the scanned pages from CI.

Cycling Ireland joining instructions:

Cycling Ireland Fees  (in Euros with £ in brackets) - Full comp E125 [£85], Restricted E90 [£65], Club Competition E60 [£45], Cycling member E45 [£35] and non-cycling member E30 [£20] .
You will then have to pay an additional £20 to the club - this is for club registration / club races levy.

Team Madigan Club Fee: Just call at the shop and pay your £20 to Ronnie and fill in the club form.  Cheque to be made payable to Carrick Road Club (our account name).  Do this before proceeding to C.I. web site!

How to join CI:  You can download the form from the CI web site or sign up on-line in their web site.  There are 2 CI Registration forms that need to be completed if posting the forms in and they can be downloaded from the Cycling Ireland site, you will get the link to their web site on our home page.  When on their site you will see a link 'Join Cycling Ireland' click it and then click the link 'Membership Form' you can then choose to sign up on-line (I recommend the on-line and pay by credit card!) or you can choose to print off the 2 forms that are required and post them in.  They show 2006 still but change the 6 to a 7.  Fill them in and post off to: Membership Admin, Cycling Ireland, Kelly Roche, 619 North Circular Road, Dublin 1, Ireland.  Don't forget to enclose the fee for the category you have taken, plus a photo copy of your Driving Licence, or Passport, or Birth Certificate (to show your date of birth and ID) also enclose a passport size photo of yourself.  The down side to posting the forms in is that you will require a Bankers Draft in euros or Postal Orders in euros as your cheque book will not work as it is in Sterling.

Joining on-line: just follow the above details that take you to Membership Form and click to join on-line.  When in the personal details page you can click a box in it to choose a jpg photo of yourself, this is lifted from your PC  C/Drive and e-mailed to them.  When you have completed the page you click submit.  Note no payment is taken at this stage!  You will then be sent an e-mail with your log-in name and a password.  It then sends me your details for me to Vet your application (all clubs have to do this!).  I ok it and the system will send you another e-mail giving details on how to pay your membership fee.  Just follow the instructions - it's easy enough to follow.  Tip! there is a security code shown at the end of the page, just re-type that code in the box provided and that's it done!  All you do next is post them a copy of your ID (listed above) write your name on it and Team Madigan.  Enclose a small passport size photo of yourself if you did not e-mail one to them.  Postal address see above!  Once they have your ID / Photo they will post your licence to you.

Ronnie has registration forms for those not able to obtain them on the web!  We want as many of you signed up as possible early in the new year so that all members are covered by insurance! Good luck! if you need any help just give me a ring and I will do my best to get you sorted!  Davy Ross.

This was a notice that Cycling Ulster put out:

Cycling Ulster Fees 2007 - Clarification (Copied from the Cycling Ulster web site on 3/1/2007).

There appears to be some confusion regarding the Cycling Ulster fees and membership type for 2007. I have included the fee structure with some clarification of membership type on offer at the end of this article. I hope that this will clear up any queries.

The fees remain the same as last year and include a levy of €10 applicable on all licence holders over 18 except for the Standard Membership. This levy is returned to Cycling Ulster and used to match SCNI funded programmes. All members, regardless of age or licence type, must pay €5 to cover the Personal Accident Insurance Policy. The fee structures currently displayed on many club websites are inaccurate.

The Fee Structure below includes Cycling Ireland Fee, Cycling Ulster €10 Levy and €5 Personal Accident fee. The Sterling Conversion in blue is only an approximate conversion and will change on a daily basis.

In addition to the fees below, many clubs also require members to pay a small club membership fee. Riders wishing to ride overseas will incur an additional charge of €20.

We would also advise members to join as early in January as possible in order to avail of Cycling Ireland's Insurance Cover.
